Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Inspired by NLS Pittsburgh office’s holiday toy drive, Virginia Davidson, an intake worker at NLS’s Beaver office wanted to undertake a similar effort to support community organizations that NLS works with throughout the year. She reached out to the Women's Center of Beaver County and in Lawrence County, Arise, organizing donations of home, personal care, infant goods, and children’s books.  Both organizations are domestic violence shelters that support clients of Neighborhood Legal Services.

According to Nikki Christopher, all staff in each office participated in the events. “This is the first year that our Beaver and Lawrence offices have coordinated and arranged a donation effort like this and it’s our hope that we make this an annual tradition,” said Christopher.
