Staff Attorney

Ms. Evans is currently a Staff Attorney at NLS.  She provides legal services to clients on employment law matters, including, but not limited to claims of employment discrimination and/or hostile work environment, retaliation claims, wage claims, unemployment compensation claims and other matters related to workplace law.

Prior to joining NLS in 2021, Ms. Evans was in private practice for more than twenty years.  At the outset of her career, Ms. Evans was a general civil litigator, representing clients in a wide variety of cases, including commercial contracts, construction, environmental, copyright, trade secrets and employment.  As her career developed, Ms. Evans focused her practice specialty on employment law.  She has represented both employees and employers in individual and class action cases before local, state and federal administrative agencies, in state and federal courts, as well as in private arbitration. She also has provided advice and counsel to corporate clients on workplace matters, including employment policies, internal investigations and audits, wage analyses, training programs and litigation preparedness. This has afforded Ms. Evans unique insight into the strategies and mindsets of employers that has been valuable to her practice on behalf of employee clients.

The employment law matters Ms. Evans has handled have come up in the context of various statutory and regulatory frameworks, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Occupational Safety & Health Act, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and other state and local statutes and ordinances.

Ms. Evans now brings her experience and expertise as an employment law practitioner to NLS. She is eager to put her skills work on behalf of our NLS clients.

Ms. Evans earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from the University of Vermont College of Arts & Sciences. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
