Targeted Outreach to Domestic Violence Programs

NLSA created a presentation on consumer law issues and basic financial literacy called “Money! Money! Money!” which is offered to the local women’s shelters. An attorney goes out to the shelters to meet with small discussion groups of shelter residents, staff, and women who come to the shelter for supportive services. Extensive written materials are provided, and this has proven to be an effective way to bring very practical information to domestic violence survivors in a setting which is safe and familiar.
